Document Description
The Irvine Ranch Water District proposes to alter the streambed to replace the existing gravel access road to Santiago Creek Dam. the plan is to re-grade the access road to conform with the current streambed and not interfere or restrict water flow. A concrete roadway will be installed over the existing width of the earthen access road and armored with rip rap on the upstream and downstream sides. the proposed project will impact 0.02 acre of stream. the applicant shall mitigate as follows: A) Plant mulefat cuttings or container stock along the base of the rip rap at approximately 5 foot centers; and B) remove the 10 x 10 patch of Arundo donax (giant reed) at the project site; and C) restore the disturbed portions of the bed and banks of the stream channel back to its original condition and configuration/ width, without creating future erosion problems.
