Document Description
The proposed project consists of General Plan amendments and a subsequent Planned Development (PD) Rezoning to allow development of 200,000 square feet of office space, 30,000 square feet of commercial use, and 400 residential units. The project includes a General Plan amendment to change the land use designation on a 2.7-acre portion of the site from Transit Corridor Residential (25+ DU/AC) to Mixed Use with No Underlying Land Use Designation, and will include a related General Plan text amendment describing the proposed mix of uses. The General Plan amendments would allow office uses, as well as commercial and office uses, along the western boundary of the site. The existing underlying designation for the overall 12-acre site is Transit Corridor Residential (25+ DU/AC). The Transit Oriented Development Corridor General Plan land use overlay currently covers a portion of the site in close proximity to Southwest Expressway. The existing property currently contains commercial development, including a K-mart and 7-11 store. The subsequent Planned Development Rezoning will be filed on the entire 12 acre site and will be available for review prior to circulation of the Draft EIR.
