Document Description
Mr. James Chezem proposes the annual construction of the temporary summer dam called Chezem Dam, in Redwood Creek. The dam will be approximately 80 feet long with a 40-foot base width, 12-foot top width and a 14-foot height. An 18-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) measuring 60 feet will be installed at the base of the dam. The CMP will have a gate valve on the downsteam end and a 3-inch mesh screen on the upsteram end. In addition the applicant proposes to restore an existing 300-foot long rock and gravel spillway located on the right bank and regrade a 75-foot by 25-foot beach area. The spillway is designed to allow for the passage of fish. The project applicant has been constructing this dam since the mid to late 1950's and makes use of existing roads to access the project site. No new roads will be constructed for the project.
