Present Land Use
The present land use is an abandoned stock yard, auction house and cafe; zoning is AG-2 (Non-Prime Agricultural, 10 acre minimum parcel size); General Plan designations include Deer Wintering Range (no density limitations) and Severe Septic Tank Limitations.
Document Description
Letty Fields requests approval of a zone change from AG-2 (Non-Prime Agricultural) to R-R-B-2.5 (Rural Residential Agricultural, 2.5-acre minimum parcel size) and C-C (Town Center Commercial). The 9.7-acre parcel, formerly known as the Yreka Stockyards, is located off Easy Street, south of Yreka. The zone change would allow the property to be divided into three parcels of 2.6, 2.7, and 4.5 acres. A Tenative Parcel Map has also been filed to divide the property if the zone change is approved. The 2.7-acre parcel around the former auction house and cafe would be the planned commercial portion of this request.
