Document Description
The request is for a use permit amendment to expand the existing industrial use of the property to include a 3MW bioenergy power generation facility. The facility would use a gasification process to produce volatile "syngas" primarily from wood waste biomass. The syngas would be used as fuel for electric generating combustion engines. Electricity produced by the facility would be exported to the power grid. "Biochar," a byproduct of the gasification process, would be sold as an agricultural amendment. The facility would consist of the electricity generating gasification plant, a biomass storage area, and a biochar storage area.
