Document Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation collects water to storage in several reservoirs in and above the Central Valley of California, and provides it to approximately 236 contractors through its Central Valley Project (CVP). The Place of Use for the above applications includes approximately 13,000,000 acres throughout the state. Part of this service area includes the Santa Clara and Pajaro River valleys, which are provided water through the San Felipe Division of the CVP, a pipeline connecting San Luis Reservoir to these valleys. Although permitted under the terms of the San Felipe Division, at present the Bureau supplies no water to the Watsonville subarea.
