Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, John Cederquist, Swift Tectonics, Inc. The project consists of the continued operation of an existing 60 acre commercial sand and gravel mine, wherein amounts of up to up to 60,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel will be extracted annually from the channel of Pancho Rico Creek. Gravel is removed with dozers and scrapers and stockpiled in a processing area which is located adjacent to the creek, out of the creek channel, and materials area processed into rock, gravel and sand products. Extraction will be limited to 6 feet in depth, to bedrock, and will occur in the dry season when no surface or subsurface water is present.
