The proposed project consists of the aquisition of a standard CDF two-engine Forest Fire Station, including a twelve-person barracks/mess hall, a 3-bay apparatus building, ranger unit facility, a fuel/oil storage building, a 2-above gasoline storage tanks, septic system, hose racks maintenance facility, paving and landscaping. The functions of the existing Ahwahnee CDF Forest Station would be transferred to the proposed project after completion. This project is necessary because the existing Ahwahnee CDF Forest Fire Station has deteriorated and no longer meets current public Safety Codes.
