The current land uses are resource management and agriculture. The newly established Sequoia National Monument surrounds the State Forest, except for a few private parcels near the western boundaries. Recreation has been the dominant use on the State Forest and the National Monument. Ranching and/or timber management are the dominant uses on the private parcels.
Document Description
The road management plan is to provide guidelines for inventory, inspection, maintenance, and management of the forest road system. This road plan will remain in effect until a new land management plan is prepared for the state forest. At that time, the road management plan will be updated.
