Document Description
The proposed project will increase the traffic capacity of an approximately 3-mile section of Foothill Boulevard by increasing the existing two traffic lanes in both directions to three lanes. The project construction will require the removal and construction of raised medians, minor widening and paving of the roadway between Garey and Equation Avenues, and restriping of Foothill Boulevard within the project limits. The project will also require the modification / upgrading of traffic signals and signs, and relocation of utility infrastructure. A No Stopping Any Time zone would be implemented along Foothill Boulevard within the project limits to facilitate a smoother traffic flow, with the exception of approximately 1,000 linear feet along the westbound segment, between Bradford Street and Williams Avenue where a Peak-Period Parking Restriction will be implemented. The proposed project will require the removal of four trees on a median, with height ranging between 15 to 20 feet. The purpose of the project is to reduce traffic congestion and improve traffic flow within the project limits.
