Precise Plan Amendment / Carmel Valley Planned District Permit / Resource Protection Ordinance (CPA/CVPDP/RPO No. 99-1136 to allow for the construction of an approximately 90,000-square-foot athletic club facility including tennis courts, swimming pools and an approximately 50,000 square-foot athletic club building with a 358-space surface parking lots. The proposed design includes an approximately 80-foot encroachment into the San Diego Gas and Electric Company (SDG&E) easement area to accommodate a portion of the surface parking required for the facility. The proposal also includes an amendment to the Carmel Del Mar Neighborhoods 5 & 6 Precise Plan to allow limited encroachment due to the open space designation of the SDG&E easement. The proposed development includes new landscaping, hardscaping and improvements to the existing pedestrian and bicycle trail within the SDG&E easement.
