The Program proposes to conduct a pilot project of water bypassed from Friant Dam on a 62.5-mile segment of the mainstem of the San Joaquin River between Friant Dam and Mendota Dam. The 2000 Pilot Project's purpose is to generate data to guide the development of a long-term riparian habitat restoration plan for the San Joaquin River.
