Document Description
The District is proposing to upgrade its water treatment and distribution system. This includes rehabilitation of an existing storage tank, a new storage/workshop facility and pressure filtration facilities (for manganese removal) at the Highland tank site. It also involves replacement of water mains and appurtenances in most of downtown Guerneville and a segment in Highway 116 west of the downtown area, as well as replacement of a segment of water main in Highway 116 east of Monte Rio, several short segments in central Monte Rio, and the entire segment of Moscow Road. All water main replacements will take place in existing roadways which contain existing substandard water mains. The project will eliminate leaks in the distribution system, provide reliable water pressure to customers and adequate fire flows.
