Document Description
Veteran's Park-Applicants: City of Big Bear Lake and Rotary Club. The project is for the purpose of developing a passive park, known as Veteran's Park on 1.44 acres. The west portion of the site currently contains a well, a small structure housing chlorine pumps and utilities to support the chlorine system. This portion of the site will contain the park, consisting of sidewalks, turf and landscaping, memorial areas, gazebo, a 5-flagpole memorial, fencing along the west property line, gateway arch, benches and restroom facilities. The east portion of the site contains a fire station that will be demolished and a 55-space parking lot will be constructed to support the park located on the north side of Big Bear Boulevard at Knickerbocker Road.
