Document Description
The County of San Luis Obispo is proposing to widen an approximate 3,000 foot section of Halcyon Road by ten feet in order to provide five foot paved shoulders on both sides of the roadway. For the southerly 700 feet of the project, widening will occur on the east side of the existing roadway. The balance of the widening will occur on the west side of the existing roadway. The widened roadway will more safely accommodate traffic increases that have occurred as the result of growth in the Nipomo and Arroyo Grande areas. The project will be funded by local transportation impact fees. The area to be widened is located on Halcyon Road, between The Pike and Cienega Road (State Highway 1), in the community of Oceano/Halcyon, in San Luis Obispo County.
