Document Description
The purpose of the proposed regulations is to establish operating standards and requirements appropriate for TTUs currently authorized under a Standardized Permit. These regulations are necessary to meet the mandate of the Health and Safety Code (HSC), section 25200.2, which directs DTSC to develop a process for authorizing the operation of TTUs under the appropriate permitting tier. The permitting tiers for which a TTU can be authorized are: "Full non-RCRA" hazardous waste facility permit, Standardized Permit and TTU-Permit by Rule.
