The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, [Mr. Gary D. Peterson representing the Mattole Salmon Group]. The applicant proposes to do various fish habitat restoration projects on South Fork Bear Creek, a tributary of the Mattole River, Humboldt County. Project is to improve quality and quantity of summer and winter salmonid habitat in upper South Fork Bear Creek through the installation of 12 inch stream log cover structures.
