Queststar Petroleum Corporation (Queststar) proposes to discharge to land up to a maximum of 8,400 gallons per day (gpd) of treated oil production wastewater (produced water) on property adjacent to an oil production facility (facility) owned by Queststar. The maximum facility discharge would occur only when all 21 oil wells at the facility would be operating. However, the average produced water discharge from the facility is currently 2,520 gpd and is disposed of by an injection well (No. 568-35). The injection well discharge is regulated by permit No. 029-10950, issued by the California Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR).
