Document Description
The California Department of Transportion and the City of Glendale have prepared a Draft Initial Study/Environmental Assessment (IS/EA) on the proposed State Route 134 (SR-134)/San Fernando Road Access and Safety Improvement Program. The proposed project will consist of ramp improvements to the SR-134 eastbound and westbound ramps at San Fernando Road and associated roadway improvements in the San Fernando Road Corridor Redevelopment Project Area of the City of Glendale in Los Angeles County. Project limits extend roughly from Los Angeles River west of San Fernando Road easterly to Pacific Avenue. The proposed improvements will enhance access to and from SR-134, provide congestion relief for regional and local traffic, and improve safety along the affected roadways with the grade separated crossing of Fairmont Avenue over San Fernando Road and the South California Regional Rail Authority right of way. Generally these improvements will be accommodated in the existing right of way, but additional right of way will be required.
