Document Description
The project consists of the construction of an eight-person barracks, mess hall, a 300 square foot gal/oil storage building, a 150 square feet generator building; utilities; paves; landscaping and all appurtenances. The existing barracks and mess hall buildings will be demolished and removed from the site. Because the site has been heavily disturbed by human activities, there are no sensitive biological or cultural resources present. All work will be performed within the existing disturbed site. The proposed project is necessary because the existing structures are old, worn-out and no longer meet code requirements. The project qualifies for a Categorical Exemption, Class 2, section 15302, under CEQA.
