The last phase of the Los Angeles River Improvements project will provide flood protection with a combination of parapet walls, adding levee fill and existing channel wall modifications, along both the Los Angeles River and the Rio Hondo downstream of Firestone Boulevard to as far south as Rosecrans Avenue (near I-105).
