Document Description
The project relating to California Department of Fish and Game consists of constructing a pipeline undercrossing of Windsor Creek using jack and bore methods. A new 16-inch reclaimed water main will be constructed from Windsor Road just south of Windsor Creek to an existing main in the service road along the north side of Windsor Creek. The bore pit will be constructed outside the creek corridor along Windsor Road; the receiving pit will be on the north side of the creek in the existing service road. Windsor Creek, including the immediate project location, supports a small population of steelhead trout. A few coho salmon have been found in the creek, but it is not known if the stream actually supports a spawning run. Windsor Creek is within the range of the California freshwater shrimp and none have been found elsewhere in Windsor Creek. The general project area along Windsor Creek supports a dense strand of riparian vegetation, but the specific areas where the inlet and outlet structures will be located are dominated by blackberry and acacia. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0494 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Phil Trowbridge/Demada, LLC.
