Document Description
Construction of a wine production, processing and storage facility with 1,424,400 square feet of buildings and an annual production 36,000,000 gallons of wine on a 218-acre parcel. Approximately 46.04 acre-feet of water will be supplied by contract with the City of American Canyon for the winery facility. The applicant proposes to drill a new well to supplement the existing well on the property. Irrigating the 130 acres of vineyards will require 213.3 acre-feet/year (Riechers Spence & Associates, Reconnaissance Report on Water Availability, June 22, 1999, citing the Swanson International Report, June 1999). This will be supplied by treated wastewater from the winery operation during Phase 1 at 64.14 acre-feet/year; rainfall accounts for 36.34 acre-feet/year; and the remaining 112.9 acre-feet/year will be supplied by a new well proposed by the applicant. The project has secured a will-served letter from the City of American Canyon to supply approximately 46.04 acre-feet annually.
