Document Description
The project involves maintenance activities on Tecolotito and Carneros Creeks within the Goleta Slough. The maintenance activities involve dragline desilting the existing sediment basins on these two creeks. The sediment basins are approximately 500 feet in length and 150 feet in width and are excavated to approximately six feet mean sea level. The basins have a capacity of approximately 10,000 cubic yards and are currently about one-third to one-half full. The spoils are deposited along the east bank of Carneros Creek and the east and west banks of Tecolotito Creek. The spoils would be tested for suitability for placement on the beach. If found not suitable for beach disposal, they would be made available for the public.
