Document Description
The project consists of the acquisition and construction of a 5,280 square foot office building with a dispatch/observation tower, a 2,040 square foot airbase shop and 4-bay garage, a 400 square foot generator building, a 400 square foot aircraft mechanic shop and a 6,000 square foot automotive maintenance shop and bulldozer/transport building. Other new facility features are paving, air tanker loading pad, aircraft areas, retardant mixing systems, and security controls. Site work includes grading, drainage, and compacting the soil, cutting trenches, laying electrical conduits, and installing telephone lines, cable television, water, sewer systems and gas lines. The existing facility will be demolished and removed from the site. The proposed project is necessary because the existing CDF Hollister Air Attack Base Facility no longer meets safety and operational needs.
