The onshore landing at Morro Bay is in a paved parking lot at Montana de Oro State Park. The landing at Manchester is on fee-owned property surrounded by Manchester Beach State Park.
Document Description
Construct five 5-inch diameter steel conduits and the installation of two fiber optic cables (segment 8 and 9) at Manchester State Beach. Segment 8 would be connected at Manchester State Beach and would extend westward across the Pacific Ocean and provide a direct link with Japan. One end of Segment 9 would also land at Manchester State Beach and the other end of Segment 9 would land at Montana DeOro State Beach in San Luis Obispo County into an existing conduit.
