Document Description
The proposed project is the purchase of 8,350 acre-feet (af) of pre-1914 "Nickel" water by DWA from NKWSD. The purchased water would be provided by NKWSD, delivered through facilities owned by Kern County Water Agency (KCWA), a SWP Contractor, to DWA at the Semitropic, Kern Water Bank, or Cross Valley Canal turn-ins located along the California Aqueduct in KCWA's service area. Once delivered to the California Aqueduct, the purchased water woud be conveyed under Article 55 of DWA's long term SWP Contract to its turnout in Reach 26A of the Aqueduct.
