Document Description
The California Department of Water Resources (Department) is approving a permanent transfer of State Water Project (SWP) Table A amount, formerly termed SWP "entitlement". The proposed Table A transfer decreases the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's SWP Table A amount by 100,000 acre-feet to a new total of 1,911,500 acre-feet. It will concurrently increase the SWP Table A amounts of the Desert Water Agency and Coachella Valley Water Agency by 11,900 acre-feet and 88,100 acre-feet, respectively. All the related contractual rights and obligations that accompany SWP Table A amounts will also be transferred. These changes will be reflected and accomplished through amendments to each agency's long-term SWP water supply contract.
