Document Description
The proposed project is intended to resolve the long-term water problems of the Coachella Valley by the following mechanisms: water conservation, increased water supplies to the Valley and a combination of source substitution and groundwater recharge. Conservation will be implemented for urban, golf course and agricultural users. In addition to reducing demand in these areas, four sources will be augmented as part of the Proposed Project. These sources are the Coachella Canal, State Water Project Exchange water, agricultural drain water and treated municipal effluent.
