Document Description
In various locations in Tehama, Plumas, and Lassen counties. This project involves digging out areas of failed asphalt concrete (AD) to a maximum depth of 3 inches, and bakc filling with new AC, cold planing AC beneath underpasses (loc.4 only), placing a 1 inch AC overlay on existing pavement, placing shoulder backing material to a maximum width of 3 feet from the edge of pavement, and replacing pavement stripes with thermoplastic striping. All work will be conducted within the existing roadbed prism. The contractor will be responsible for disposing of AC grindings outside of Caltrans right-of-way. No additional right-of-way or construction easements are required. At location 5, an environmentally sensitive area (ESA) is designated from three feet beyond existing EP on both sides of the roadway from postmiel 7.7 to postmiel 8.2.
