Document Description
The Sepulveda Adobe damaged in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake and is scheduled for restoration in accordance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards and Guidelines for treatment of historic structures. In order to protect the structure and its features from further degradation by the elements, this phase 1 project proposes to salvage, catalog and store detached historic fabric, and to brace and roof the remaining structure until the complete restoration plan can be implemented. Excavation for the placement of braces will be required. A qualified archaeologist has been and will continue to be involved in preparation of the stabilization plan and its implementation, including salvage and recordation of historic artifacts and features. No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated.
