Document Description
This Project, to be carried out by the Lakeside School District, involves the planting of 45 trees on the campus of Lemon Crest Elementary School. Some planting locations include the area along the fence adjacent to the kindergarten playground, within the parkway along Lemon Crest Avenue, along the north and south borders of the playing field, and in the center quad near the outdoor lunch area. It is anticipated that this project will commence in April of 2000 and by completed by January 2002. Trees will be non-native ornamentals that have been selected for their disease resistance, adaptation to the urban landscape, shade capacity, and minimal litter production. Trees will be in 15 gallon containers and will be planted, staked, tied, watered and maintained in accordance with the California Departments of Forestry and Fire Protection's tree planting guidelines.
