Document Description
EID will operate an existing hydroelectric power project, Project No. 184, for electrical power generation and water supply during the 50-year term of a new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hydropower license. El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is the current licensee, having acquired Project No. 184 from PG&E in 1999. The current FERC license for project No. 184 will expire on February 23, 2002. The 50-year term of the new license is therefore expected to commence sometime after February 23, 2002, and to expire sometime after February 23, 2052. EID will sell the power, or use the power to offset the cost of operating and maintaining the Project No. 184 or other EID facilities. Power revenues or offsets beyond these costs will be used to benefit EID ratepayers in reducing the cost of providing services.
