Document Description
The project involves upgrading several roadways in downtown Mt. Shasta (Chestnut St., Lake St. and Mt. Shasta Blvd.) to improve traffic circulation. The majority of the improvements will occur on Chestnut St. and will include removing and replacing the road surface, providing roadway shoulder improvements on the section between Ivy Street and Mt. Shasta Blvd., removing and replacing portions of the sidewalk and curb, installing storm drains, minor landscaping and installing a flashing beacon at the intersection with Lake St. Proposed improvements to Lake St. will include resurfacing, constructing several medians and installing a traffic signal at the intersection of Commercial Avenue. Improvements to Mt. Shasta Blvd. will include minor modifications to the existing intersection at Lake Street. Underground utilities on Chestnut Street and Jessie Street will be repaired and/or replaced as part of this project.
