The proposed Action would include continuation of the 400/670 TAF variable-space flood-storage operation at Folsom Reservoir which would eventually shift to a 400/600 TAF flood-control diagram on completion of the other elements of the proposed action, including, increasing the outlet capacity of Folsom Dam, increasing the emergency storage capacity (surcharge storage) of Folsom Reservoir, equalizing the height of the American River levees to allow passage of 160,000 cfs with 3 feet of freeboard, constructing an earthen levee with flap gates at Mayhew Drain, and raising and strengthening levees in the South Sacramento Streams Group area.
