Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 (SAA#R6-2001-060) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). LADWP is proposing to implement dust mitigation measures on the Dry Owens Lake Playa in Inyo County, CA, as mandated in the 1998 Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Los Angeles and the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District. The project proposes implementing managed vegetation, shallow flooding, and gravel cover dust control measures on parts of an approximately 19-square-mile area of the Owens Dry Lakebed.
