The proposed project is essentially the creation of a nature hiking trail, expansion of the sod lawn, installation of a permanent solar powered irrigation system, construction of two rock erosion dissipaters, and planting of vegetation (trees and other plants native to the Santa Monica Mountains). The project incorporates measures to reduce any potential off-site impacts on water quality and hydrology from siltation. The proposed project is not anticipated to significantly increase the use of the existing park.
