Document Description
Project consists of restoration of two public parking lots (commonly known as Lot "A" and Lot "B") located adjacent to Congress Street in Old town SHP. In Lot "A" approximately 8,000 square feet of asphalt will be removed and replaced with topsoil. The remaining asphalt will be pulverized, graded, and used as a base material. A 3-inch overlay of new asphalt will be applied. Approximately 850 feet of 6-inch asphalt curbing will be installed throughout the lot. All areas will receive a seal coat and be restripped. One tree stump will be removed. A 10-x-10-foot asphalt pad will be placed in the northern part of the lot to be used as an area for trash containers. A 6-foot cedar fence will enclose the pad. Lot "B" will require extensive deep patching 3,200 square feet in 20 locations. All cracks greater than 1/32 will require a molten rubberized crack fill. Approximately 870 feet of 6-inch asphalt curbing will be installed in the lot. The lot will be seal coated and stripped. A 10-x10-foot asphalt pad will be placed in the northeast part of the lot for use an area for trash containers. A 6-foot cedar fence will enclose the pad. Postholes for the cedar fence posts will be 6x4 inches and 3 feet deep. An archaeologist will insure avoidance of significant impacts to cultural remains. No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated.
