Document Description
The project involves restoration of a hillclimb that is badly damaged from overuse. The surface of the hillclimb is gullied and continues to erode from water runoff and use. The area is about 75 meters from a creek bed. The proposed project will help stop erosion and will restore vegetative cover to the hillside. This project proposes to use heavy epuipment to recontour the face of the hill. The gullies and ruts will be flattened and smoothed. Then the surface will be compacted by the tracks of the heavy the equipment. Seed will be sown by hand crew; straw will be applied to the surface to prevent erosion and retain moisture while the seeds take root.
