Document Description
In Shasta County east of Montgomery Creek. This is a Capital Preventative Maintenance Project (CAPM) to place a 75mm asphalt concrete (AC) overlay, repair areas of severe failure (digouts), seal cracks greater than 3mm, place shoulder backing, construct new paved AC ditches, reconstruct the existing AC ditches, reconstruct existing metal beam guard rail (MBGR) and place new AC pavement under them, and install magnetic detection devices for snow plow operations; striping and recessed reflective pavement markers will be replaced in kind. All work will be within the existing roadbed prism, no additional right-of-way or construction easements are required. An Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA) for cultural resources is designated at the unpaved turnout located at Postmile 66.54-66.65, no staging of equipment, parking of vehicles, or stockpiling of materials will occur at this location.
