Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt because it involves construction of a new water pump station and transmission lines to replace facilities that were lost due to the 1998 landslide. The project will not include an increase in system capacity. The project will involve small pump station facilities to be reconstructed at a new location, AP #070-024-065. Construction work at the proposed new pump station site has been addressed by the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Rio Nido Debris Basin, Upper Canyon Three, prepared by the County of Sonoma in July 1999.
