Document Description
The proposed project would renovate the existing Laundry Building for use as a storage area and receiving area for clean laundry storage and distribution. The renovation would include: refurbishing the building, asbestos and lead abatement, removal of hollow tile partitions and addition of new partition walls, removal of existing laundry equipment, installation of new heating and cooling systems, new electrical supply, alarm, and ADA and Fire and Life Safety compliance upgrades. The project is needed because the use of the building as a traditional laundry facility is no longer required. The laundry service has been contracted out, but there still remains the need for a receiving area for clean laundry and storage space to accommodate the existing residents.
