Slopes will be cut back and chain link fencing will be installed at the toe of the slopes to catch falling rocks. A permanent right-of-way acquisition of 1.1 acre will be required at the top of one cut slope. Excess material from slope excavations will be used for fill within State right-of-way on a roadway rehabilitation project, which will be constructed concurrently with the rockfall reduction project.
