Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R2-299-00 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Banta Carbona Irrigationg District represented by David K. Weisenberger. This agreement pertains to removal of an existing fish screen and construction/operation of a new positive barrier fish screen facility in the diversion canal. The purpose of the fish screen is to reduce entrainment losses of anadromous fish at BCID's pumping station on the river. Average diversion rates range from 150 to 215 cubic feet per second. The fish screen will meet criteria set forth by Department of Fish and Game, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Marine Fisheries Service.
