Document Description
Banta- Carbona Irrigation District proposes to construct and operate a proposed positive-barrier fish screen at the entrance to their diversion canal located on the San Joaquin River near the city of Tracy, California. The purpose of the fish screen project is to reduce entrainment losses of fish resulting from diversion pumping operations and help achieve goals of the Anadromous Fish Restoration Program. The project would be funded by grants provided by federal Central Valley Project Improvement Act funds, Department of Fish and Game Proposition 70 and 204 funds, and Metropolitan Water District funds.
