Document Description
To resolve long-term resident and business solid waste disposal demands, the City of Fremont is in the process of evaluating various scenarios. These scenarios involve either the expansion of the existing landfilling activity at the Tri-Cities Recycling and Disposal Facility (TCRDF) or establishment of a Transfer Station (TS)/Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). The landfill expansion scenario under consideration at the TCRDF is an approximate 72-acre landfill expansion to 150 feet mean sea level (MSL). This scenario would expand the landfill into areas south of the existing operations. Three potential TS/MRF locations are being considered in the City of Fremont: Old Warm Springs Boulevard and Grimmer Boulevard, Boscell Road, and at the TCRDF site. Therefore, the project description addresses four potential scenarios.
