Document Description
State law requires each city to prepare and adopt a "comprehensive, long-term General Plan for the physical development" of the community. General Plan's address a broad range of community issues including physical, social, aesthetic and economic concerns. The Morgan Hill General Plan Update will address the following topics: Community Development, Economic Development, Circulation, Open Space and Conservation, Public Health and Safety, Regional Coordination and Housing. The General Plan EIR will be prepared as a Program EIR since environmental clearance for specific projects at specific location are not proposed in the Plan. Subsequent negative declarations or EIRs would be necessary for future development projects to be implemented.
