Document Description
Under Application 29858, the project applicant proposes to construct an on-stream reservoir on an Unnamed Stream for the direct diversion and storage of 35 acre-feet per annum (afa). The project will include land preparation, cultivation, and planting of wine grapes within existing crop land and nonnative grassland areas. Project activities at the point of diversion will include the removal of vegetation, excavation of soil, construction of an earthfill dam, and installation of water control pipes and structures. Water from the reservoir will tie into an existing line that is currently served by a groundwater well and pump. The reservoir dam, when completed, will be approximately 150 feet in length and 24 feet in vertical height. The reservoir will have a surface area of about 4 acres when pooled to maximum permitted capacity.
