Document Description
The County of Trinity proposes to close the existing Weaverville Airport, located adjacent to State Route 3 in Weaverville, and to construct a new airport at one of 3 alternative sites in the Weaverville vicinity. The proposed new airport would involve a single, bi-directional general utility runway designed to accommodate Gulfstream jets and other aircraft with wingspans up to 79 feet and approach speeds of 121 knots or less. The overall airport development would also include parallel and perpendicular taxiways, a base area, a commercial/light industrial area, safety zones, "off-site" obstruction beacons, an access road, and utility and lighting systems.
