Document Description
The new correctional facility at the CAADC (Castle Aviation and Development Center) will require connection to the City of Atwater's water and sanitary wastewater systems. Provision of water service to the prison will require construction and installation of various new facilities. Approximately 15,000 linear feet of 12-inch water main buried at a depth of 4 to 5 feet is needed to connect the correctional facility to City water infrastructure. The proposed wastewater conveyance pipeline consists of approximately 900 linear feet of 15-inch gravity sewer and 8,900 linear feet of 10-inch PVC force main buried approximately 4 to 5 below grade. Other wastewater infrastructure necessary to serve the project includes a screening and compacting unit, a metering manhole with measuring and recording equipment and a wastewater pump station with two 700 gpm pumps.
